Meesho Catalogue Blocked: How to Unblock It (2026)
By Vanshika - ecommerce seller & educator, @chitraabyvanshika (100,000+ followers)
If your catalogue is blocked, showing "under QC" past 48 hours, or your views have collapsed without explanation, the cause is usually one number: your Bad Quality Score - the share of your ratings that are 1 or 2 star.
Cross roughly 15% and visibility starts dropping. Cross about 25% and catalogues get blocked. This is why a product with a 4-star average can still be blocked, and why so many appeal letters read as confused about it.
Below: how to check the number, the exact ticket path, and three POA templates you can copy. Also the honest part - which blocks get reversed and which do not.
First, know which of the three you have
Sellers use "blocked" for three different things with three different fixes.
| What happened | What it means | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| QC rejection | A new catalogue never went live | Fix the listing, re-upload |
| Catalogue block | A live, selling listing was pulled | Appeal, or relaunch |
| Account block | The whole store stopped | Read the notice, one ticket, documents |
This article is mostly about the middle one. If your entire account is blocked, that is a different and more serious process - read the exact notice first, and never open a second account while blocked. That turns a recoverable situation into a permanent one.
The number that actually causes it
Bad Quality Score = (1-star + 2-star ratings) ÷ total ratings
Reported thresholds:
| Score | What happens |
|---|---|
| Under 15% | Healthy - full visibility |
| 15-22% | Visibility starts dropping |
| 22-25% | Heavy suppression |
| Over 25% | Catalogue blocked |
Two things follow from this, and both explain a lot of confusion.
Your star average is not the metric. A catalogue can average 4 stars and still be blocked, because the algorithm looks at the proportion of bad ratings, not the mean. A widely circulated appeal letter complains that "1 and 2 star have been blocked while there are 4 star in my catalogue" - that seller had not understood that these are two different numbers.
It moves fast on low volume. With 20 ratings, five bad ones puts you at 25%. A new catalogue with a handful of unhappy buyers can cross the line long before the average looks alarming.
Treat this as an early warning system rather than a surprise. If you can see the ratio climbing, you have time to act.
Why catalogues get blocked
Beyond quality score, the documented triggers:
- Repeated QC failures on the same catalogue
- Concentrated returns on one listing
- Policy, brand or IP complaints - copied images are the common one
- KYC or GST mismatches, including a bank account name that does not exactly match the GST registration
- Pricing flags - above MRP, or implausibly low
- Suspicious activity signals on the listing
Image problems dominate QC rejections specifically: dark or cluttered backgrounds, a room full of stock in frame, or copied competitor photos. The requirements are covered in how to sell on Meesho, and if your photos are the problem, our AI product image prompts and the free background whitener will fix most of it.
Raising the ticket
The path in the Supplier Panel:
- Support
- Catalog & Pricing → View All
- Scroll to My Catalogues Are Under Block
- Raise a Ticket
- Select the issue, paste your POA in the description
- Enter your mobile number → Next
- Add the blocked catalogue IDs
- Submit
Three things that decide whether it works:
- Include every catalogue ID. Tickets without IDs get generic replies.
- One ticket, followed through. Raising five tickets for the same problem gets all five deprioritised. Follow up on the same thread.
- Fix the cause before appealing where you can. An appeal that says "I will follow the guidelines" is weaker than one that says what you already changed.
Three POA templates
Pick the one that matches your situation. Replace the bracketed parts. Keep it short - support reads hundreds of these.
Template 1: Stuck under QC past 48 hours
Dear Meesho Support Team,
My catalogues are showing "Under QC" status with an expected action time of
48 hours. It has now been [NUMBER] days and the catalogues are still not live.
Affected catalogue IDs:
[ID], [ID], [ID]
The listings meet the catalogue guidelines - images are on a clean background,
attributes are complete, and pricing is within MRP. No rejection reason has been
shown to me in the panel.
Please review and make these catalogues live, or share the specific reason so I
can correct it.
Supplier ID: [YOUR ID]
Registered mobile: [NUMBER]
Template 2: Blocked, and you have fixed the cause
This is the strongest kind of appeal, because it reports action rather than promising it.
Dear Meesho Support Team,
The catalogues listed below have been blocked. I have identified the cause and
corrected it.
Affected catalogue IDs:
[ID], [ID], [ID]
Cause identified: [e.g. high 1-2 star ratings due to a size mismatch]
Corrective action already taken:
1. [e.g. Size chart updated with measured inches for all variants]
2. [e.g. Product images replaced to show actual fabric and colour]
3. [e.g. Description updated with fabric, GSM and wash care]
Preventive action going forward:
[e.g. Reviewing return reasons weekly and updating listings accordingly]
Please review the corrections and reinstate these catalogues.
Supplier ID: [YOUR ID]
Registered mobile: [NUMBER]
Template 3: Low visibility with no block notice
Dear Meesho Support Team,
Views and orders on the catalogues below have dropped sharply since [DATE], with
no block or rejection notice shown in my panel.
Affected catalogue IDs:
[ID], [ID], [ID]
Stock is available, prices are unchanged, and there are no pending quality flags
visible to me.
Please check whether any visibility restriction is applied to these catalogues
and share the reason so I can act on it.
Supplier ID: [YOUR ID]
Registered mobile: [NUMBER]
Do not copy an appeal letter you found online without editing it. Support sees the same circulated template repeatedly, and a letter that does not match your actual situation reads as exactly that.
The honest part
Two things most guides on this topic leave out.
A quality block is often not reversible by appeal. If a catalogue was blocked because its Bad Quality Score crossed the threshold, the block is the system working as designed. Asking for a reversal without changing anything usually produces a template reply.
The practical route in that case is to fix the underlying defect and relaunch as a new SKU - new images, corrected sizing, the actual product problem addressed. Check duplicate listing rules before doing this, and do not simply re-upload the same catalogue under a new ID.
Blocks are a warning, not just an inconvenience. Several catalogue blocks in a short window are the loudest signal before an account-level review. If it keeps happening, the problem is upstream of any single listing.
Preventing it
Almost all of this traces back to two things.
Listing accuracy. Wrong size charts, edited photos that flatter the product, and vague descriptions all produce the same outcome: unhappy buyers, 1 and 2 star ratings, returns, and a rising quality score. The returns arithmetic is in Meesho return charges and RTO, and a return costs you around ₹153 before any visibility damage.
Weekly panel checks. Open Quality every week and clear anything flagged. A suppressed listing does not announce itself - it just stops earning while you wonder why orders dropped. The routine is in Meesho account health, and every panel section is explained in the Supplier Panel guide.
FAQ
Why is my Meesho catalogue blocked?
Most commonly because your Bad Quality Score - the share of 1 and 2 star ratings
- crossed the threshold, reported at around 25%. Other triggers are repeated QC failures, concentrated returns, brand or IP complaints, KYC and GST mismatches, and pricing outside the allowed range.
Meesho catalogue unblock kaise kare?
Supplier Panel mein Support → Catalog & Pricing → View All → "My Catalogues Are Under Block" → Raise a Ticket. Ticket mein saare blocked catalogue IDs daalo aur POA likho. Sabse zaroori baat - pehle asli problem theek karo, phir appeal karo. Sirf "guidelines follow karunga" likhne se kaam nahi banta.
My catalogue says under QC for more than 48 hours - what do I do?
Raise a ticket through Support → Catalog & Pricing → My Catalogues Are Under Block, include every affected catalogue ID, and state how long it has been. Use Template 1 above. Raise one ticket and follow up on the same thread rather than opening new ones.
Why is my catalogue blocked when my rating is 4 stars?
Because star average and Bad Quality Score are different measures. The block looks at what proportion of your ratings are 1 or 2 star, not the mean. A 4-star product with a high share of bad ratings can still cross the threshold.
Can a blocked catalogue be unblocked?
Sometimes. Blocks from documentation issues, pricing errors or fixable QC failures are often reversed once corrected. Blocks from a quality score breach frequently are not - the usual route there is to fix the actual product or listing defect and relaunch as a new SKU, within duplicate listing rules.
How long does the appeal take?
Sellers commonly report several days rather than hours. Follow up on the same ticket rather than raising new ones, and escalate by email with the ticket number if nothing moves.
Will my orders stop while a catalogue is blocked?
New orders on that catalogue stop. Orders already placed still have to be dispatched - a block removes demand, not your obligations. Cancelling those is the worst thing you can do, as covered in Meesho penalties.
