Meesho Quality Score Calculator

Your quality score is the share of ratings that are 1 or 2 star, and it decides how much traffic Meesho sends your catalog. Enter your numbers to see which zone you are in - and, more usefully, how many ratings it takes to climb out, allowing for the bad ones still coming in.

What it takes to reach 15%

107more ratings needed

That is about 714 more orders, roughly 2.4 months at your current volume.

At a 10% incoming bad rate. Improve the product so fewer buyers complain and this number falls sharply - try setting it to 5% and see.

Zone thresholds are the bands reported by sellers and commonly published; marketplace rules change, so confirm current values in your own supplier panel. The arithmetic holds whatever the exact cut-offs are.

Why this number decides your traffic

Meesho gates visibility on the proportion of your ratings that are 1 or 2 star, not on your average. Stay in the healthy band and catalogs get shown normally. Drift up and views fall before anything obvious happens. Cross the top threshold and the catalog stops being shown at all.

This is why sellers describe orders dropping “for no reason”. There was a reason, and it was visible in the rating breakdown weeks earlier.

The trap in every other quality score calculator

Most of them divide bad ratings by total ratings, tell you how many good ratings you need, and stop. That answer assumes not one future buyer will rate you badly - which is never true for a product that got here in the first place.

A catalog sitting at 44% with one in six new buyers still unhappy cannot recover by shipping more. The score settles at roughly the incoming complaint rate, however many orders you add. That is why this calculator asks for that rate, and why it will tell you plainly when recovery is not arithmetically possible.

Fix the cause first, then count ratings. In that order, or the counting is meaningless.

Finding the cause

It is almost always in your reviews, and it repeats. Wrong size is the most common in apparel, then colour looking different from the photo, then material quality below what the listing implied.

The fixes are unglamorous: measure three real pieces and publish those inches, shoot in daylight without pushing saturation, and describe fabric, stretch and transparency honestly. Every one of those also cuts returns, which cost around ₹153 each in reverse shipping - the full breakdown is in Meesho return charges and RTO.

If your catalogue is already blocked

Recovering the score and unblocking the catalog are different jobs. The ticket path, POA templates and an honest note on which blocks actually get reversed are in Meesho catalogue blocked: how to unblock it.

Quality score - frequently asked questions

What is the Meesho quality score?+

The share of your ratings that are 1 or 2 star, as a percentage of total ratings. Lower is better - it is the opposite of an average rating. It decides how much traffic Meesho sends a catalog, and crossing the top threshold takes the catalog out of search entirely.

Why is my catalogue blocked when my star rating is 4?+

Because they are two different measures. Average rating is the mean of all five levels. Quality score counts only 1 and 2 star ratings as a share of the total. A product can average 4 stars and still fail the quality threshold if enough buyers rated it badly.

Why does my score not fall even though I keep getting orders?+

A bad rating cannot be deleted, only diluted. If a similar share of new buyers keeps rating you badly, you add bad ratings as fast as you dilute the old ones and the score settles at that incoming rate. Volume only helps once the incoming bad rate is below your target - which is why this calculator asks for it.

Meesho quality score kaise sudhare?+

Pehle wajah band karo, phir ratings gino. Size chart theek karo, asli photo lagao, aur reviews mein jo shikayat baar baar aa rahi hai wahi aapke 1 aur 2 star ki jad hai. Jab tak nayi kharab rating aati rahegi, score wahin atka rahega - chahe kitne bhi order aa jayein.

How many good ratings do I need to recover?+

It depends entirely on how many future buyers will also rate you badly, which is why a single number is misleading. Going from 44% to 15% might take a few dozen ratings if nobody else complains, several times that at a 10% complaint rate, and be impossible at 17%. Set the incoming rate honestly and the calculator will tell you which case you are in.

My catalogue is already blocked - can I still recover it?+

Sometimes. Blocks from documentation, pricing or fixable listing issues are often reversed once corrected. A block from the quality score crossing the threshold frequently is not, and the practical route is to fix the underlying defect and relaunch properly. The appeal process and POA templates are in our catalogue block guide.

Is quality score the same as return rate?+

No, though they usually move together. Return rate is the share of orders coming back. Quality score is the share of ratings that are 1 or 2 star. The same root causes drive both - wrong size, colour mismatch, quality below expectation - so fixing one generally improves the other.

Zone thresholds are as commonly reported and can change - confirm current bands in your supplier panel. Verify current rates at supplier.meesho.com.
