Why one label per sheet is expensive

A shipping label is a fraction of an A4 page. Printing one per sheet wastes the rest, every order, every day. At 40 orders a day that is 40 sheets where 10 would do.

Print at 100 percent

Every printer dialog defaults to something like Fit to Page, which rescales - and rescaling changes barcode bar widths. Choose 100 percent or Actual Size, and test one sheet before running a batch.

The arithmetic

One label per A4 sheet wastes most of the page. At forty orders a day that is forty sheets where ten would do - roughly 900 sheets a month, or two reams, spent on white space.

Four labels to a sheet turns that into about 225 sheets. The saving is small per order and significant per quarter, and it is entirely free.

Crop first, then lay out

Meesho gives you one A4 page per order with the label on top and the tax invoice below. Laying that out unchanged just means printing more invoices. Run the file through the label cropper first to strip the invoice, then bring the result here.

Print settings that matter

100% or Actual Size, never Fit to Page. Rescaling changes barcode bar widths, and a barcode that fails at the courier hub delays the shipment and counts against your account health.

Plain A4 is fine if you tape labels on. Self-adhesive A4 label sheets save cutting, but check the sheet's die-cut layout matches the arrangement you choose here, or the labels will straddle the cut lines.
