How to Join Meesho Creator Club: Steps and Eligibility

Joining Meesho Creator Club takes about ten minutes. Getting approved is the part people get stuck on, and almost every guide online skips it. Meesho does not publish a hard follower minimum - approval is a review, not a threshold - which is why two creators with similar follower counts can get opposite answers.

This page covers the sign-up itself, what Meesho appears to weigh when it reviews an application, and what to do if you are turned down. If you want the programme explained first - commission, payouts, what it actually earns - start with the Meesho Creator Club guide.

Before you start: what you need ready

ItemWhy it is needed
Active public social accountMeesho reviews your content before approving
PAN cardRequired for KYC and for TDS on commission
Bank account in your own nameCommission is paid by bank transfer, not wallet
Mobile number linked to the accountUsed for OTP at every login
Email addressApproval and payout notices go here

Two things trip people up. The bank account must be in the same name as the PAN - a joint account in a parent's name will fail KYC. And the social account must be public. A private Instagram profile cannot be reviewed, and the application usually sits unactioned rather than being rejected outright.

The sign-up steps

  1. Open the Meesho app, or go to the creator sign-up page linked from Meesho's site. The creator programme is separate from the Supplier Panel - if you are already a seller, you still sign up as a creator separately.
  2. Enter your mobile number and verify the OTP.
  3. Connect your social profile. You are asked for the handle, not your password.
  4. Fill in your content category - fashion, home, beauty, kids and so on. This is not cosmetic. It decides which catalogue you get shown first, and the affiliate catalogue is where the real commission sits.
  5. Submit PAN and bank details for KYC.
  6. Submit, and wait. Most creators report an answer in 3 to 5 working days.

There is no fee at any step. If anything asks you to pay a registration, onboarding or "activation" charge, it is not Meesho.

What Meesho actually checks

Meesho positions Creator Club at nano and micro creators, including people in smaller cities, and has never published a follower cut-off. Several third-party blogs quote 10,000 Instagram followers or 5,000 YouTube subscribers as a requirement. Meesho does not confirm those numbers, and creators below them do get approved. Treat those figures as someone's guess, not a rule.

What does seem to matter, from how approvals go in practice:

  • A public account with real posts on it. An account with four posts and a stock profile picture reads as a throwaway.
  • Content that matches a shopping category. Meesho is looking for someone whose audience would plausibly buy a kurti or a kitchen rack. A meme page with 200,000 followers is a worse fit than a 3,000-follower saree page.
  • Engagement, not reach. Commission is paid on sales. A creator whose comments section is alive is worth more to Meesho than one with bought followers, and bought followers are easy to spot.
  • Consistency. Posting once a month reads as inactive.

If you are rejected

Rejection is not permanent and you are not blacklisted. The three fixes that actually change the outcome, in order of how often they are the problem:

  1. Make the account public and re-apply. This alone resolves a large share of stalled applications.
  2. Post consistently for three to four weeks in one clear category before re-applying. Ten posts about one kind of product beats fifty about nothing.
  3. Fix the KYC mismatch. Name on PAN, name on bank account and name on the profile should agree. A spelling difference is enough to fail.

If you do not want to wait, there is a second route. Affiliate networks such as GrabCash, EarnKaro, Cuelinks and INRDeals carry Meesho on a commission-per-sale basis and generally accept anyone, with no follower requirement at all. The rates and the payout terms are different, and that trade-off is worked through in Meesho affiliate without followers.

After approval: your first link

Once you are in, the creator dashboard is where everything happens. You search for a product, generate a tracking link, and share it. The link carries your creator ID, so the sale is attributed to you automatically - there is no code for the buyer to enter and nothing for them to do differently.

One decision matters more than all your content choices put together: check whether the product is in the affiliate catalogue before you promote it. Catalogued products pay a real commission. Non-catalogued products pay around 0.5%, which on a ₹400 kurti is ₹2. Same video, same effort, roughly forty times the difference in income. The full breakdown is in Meesho affiliate commission rates.

Signing in later

There is no separate "Creator Club login" website to remember. You sign in through the same Meesho app account you registered with, using your mobile number and an OTP. If the creator section is not visible in the app, your application has not been approved yet - it appears once it is.

FAQ

Meesho Creator Club kaise join kare?

Meesho app kholo, creator section me apna mobile number daalo aur OTP verify karo. Apna public social media handle, content category, PAN aur bank details submit karo. Koi fees nahi hai. Approval aam taur par 3 se 5 working days me aata hai, aur uske baad Creator Dashboard se product links banana shuru kar sakte ho.

How many followers do I need to join Meesho Creator Club?

Meesho has not published a minimum. Guides that quote 10,000 Instagram followers or 5,000 YouTube subscribers are repeating an unconfirmed figure. Approval is a review of your account, and creators with a few thousand engaged followers in a clear shopping category do get approved.

How long does Meesho Creator Club approval take?

Most creators report an answer within 3 to 5 working days. If it has been longer than a week with no response, check that your social profile is public - a private profile cannot be reviewed and the application tends to sit rather than be rejected.

Is there any fee to join Meesho Creator Club?

No. There is no registration fee, onboarding fee or activation charge. Anyone asking you to pay to join is not Meesho.

Can I join if I am already a Meesho seller?

Yes. The seller account and the creator account are separate, and having one does not affect the other. Whether it is worth doing is a different question, covered in Creator Club for sellers.

What do I do if my Meesho Creator Club application is rejected?

Make your social account public, post consistently in one shopping category for three to four weeks, and make sure the name on your PAN, bank account and profile match. Then re-apply. There is no cooling-off period and rejection is not permanent.

Do I need GST to join Creator Club?

No. Creator commission is income, not a sale of goods, so you do not need a GSTIN to receive it. You do need a PAN, and TDS applies once your commission crosses the threshold for the year.
