5 AI Prompts to Build a Meesho Listing (Free, 2026)

Five prompts, one product, a complete Meesho listing. Two build your images, one writes the title, one the description, one gives you the keywords. All free in Gemini or ChatGPT, and the whole set takes about ten minutes per product instead of an hour.

Copy them below. Then read the section after, because there are two places where AI output will quietly cost you money if you paste it in without checking.

Run them in this order

  1. Images - because the photo decides whether anyone clicks at all
  2. Title - the single biggest factor in whether you appear in search
  3. Keywords - so you know which terms matter before you write
  4. Description - written last, using the keywords you just found

Most people do it backwards, write the description first, then try to reverse engineer a title out of it. Title first is better, and keywords before description is better still.

Upload your product photo once, then run the prompts in the same chat so the AI keeps the product in context.

1. Product image with a model

Create a 1000 × 1000 px professional Meesho product image using the uploaded
product photo as the exact reference. Keep the product 100% identical to the
original, including its shape, proportions, color, design, pattern, texture and
every important detail. Do not modify or redesign the product. Show it naturally
with a beautiful, realistic Indian model who suits the product and target
customer, with an attractive pose, styling and expression. Create a premium
lifestyle background that matches the product's category and vibe, with
beautiful lighting, realistic shadows, depth and professional ecommerce
photography. Make the product the main focus while making the overall image
visually striking and aspirational, similar to a high-quality ecommerce
thumbnail. Keep everything realistic and natural, with no text, watermark,
price, promotional graphics or unnecessary products.

2. Product image without a model

Create a 1000 × 1000 px professional Meesho product image using the uploaded
product photo as the exact reference. Keep the product 100% identical to the
original, including its shape, proportions, color, design, pattern, texture and
every important detail. Do not modify or redesign the product. Place it in a
beautiful, realistic lifestyle setting that perfectly matches its category,
purpose and vibe. Use premium lighting, realistic shadows, depth, attractive
composition and professional ecommerce photography. Make the product the clear
hero and create a visually striking image that makes buyers want to click, while
keeping it realistic and suitable for Meesho. Do not add text, watermark, price,
promotional graphics, fake logos or unnecessary products.

3. Product title

Create the best Meesho product title for the uploaded product using the actual
product details and the words real Indian buyers are likely to search. Include
the main product keyword plus relevant terms like material, style, design,
color, size, quantity, audience or use case wherever applicable. Keep it clear,
natural, search-friendly and easy to understand. Do not keyword-stuff, repeat
words unnecessarily or add features that the product does not have. Give me 1
best title and 2 alternative titles.

4. Product description

Write an approximately 1300-character Meesho product description using the
uploaded product and provided details. Clearly explain what the product is, its
important features, design, material, uses, suitable customers, size, quantity
and package contents wherever known. Naturally include relevant buyer-search
keywords without keyword stuffing. Use simple, convincing language that feels
human and helps the buyer understand the product. Never invent missing
information or make fake claims. At the end, give the approximate character
count.

5. Search keywords

Create highly relevant Meesho search keywords for the uploaded product based on
what real Indian buyers are likely to search. Give me the most important primary
keywords, secondary keywords, long-tail searches, use-case keywords, audience
keywords and relevant style, design, color or variant keywords. Include natural
synonyms and different ways buyers may search for the same product. Only use
keywords that genuinely match the product and remove anything irrelevant or
misleading. Finally, rank the 10 most important keywords from highest to lowest
priority.

Which image goes in which slot

Getting this wrong wastes the best prompt in the set.

SlotUse
Primary imageThe plain version, on a clean background. This is what appears in search and the category feed.
Slots 2 to 7The model shot, close-ups, back view, a scale reference

Meesho's guidance points at clean backgrounds for the primary image, so if Prompt 2 returns something too busy, ask for a plainer background. Save the model image for the secondary slots, where buyers go looking for fit and context.

Published guidance on Meesho's minimum image size varies between roughly 1000 and 1500 pixels square. The prompts ask for 1000. Ask for larger if you can, and check the current requirement at catalog upload in your Supplier Panel.

The two places AI will cost you money

Everything above saves time. These two things are where it can go the other way.

The images change your product

Both image prompts say "keep the product 100% identical." Image models do not reliably obey that. They rebuild the picture rather than editing it, so what drifts is:

  • Text on labels and packaging turns into nonsense
  • Logos get redrawn slightly wrong
  • Printed patterns rearrange themselves
  • Colour moves a shade, which matters enormously in apparel
  • Fabric texture goes smooth and plastic-looking
  • Buttons, zips and trims change shape

On a marketplace, an image that oversells is not a marketing win. It is a return, and a Meesho customer return costs you around ₹153 in reverse shipping before packaging, labour and the hit to listing quality. The arithmetic is in Meesho return charges and RTO.

Put the AI image next to your original photo and ask one question: if the parcel arrives and the buyer compares it to this, will they feel misled? If anything drifted, regenerate or use the original.

The description invents specifics

Prompt 4 says "never invent missing information." That instruction helps, and it is not a guarantee.

Language models fill gaps confidently. If you have not told it the fabric weight, the thread count or what is in the box, it may produce a plausible number anyway. On a listing, an invented specific is a promise you did not make and cannot keep.

Read the output for any number or material claim you did not supply. GSM, thread count, dimensions, wash care, "set of 3", "100% cotton" - if you did not say it, delete it or verify it. This is the single most common failure with AI-written listings and the easiest to miss, because the copy reads well.

What to keep from each output

Title: you get three. Pick the one where the most important search word comes first, not the one that sounds best. Buyers scan the first few words on a phone.

Keywords: the ranked top ten is the useful part. Use those in your title, description and attributes. Ignore anything that only loosely matches - a keyword that brings the wrong buyer brings a return.

Description: cut anything you cannot verify, then check it still reads like a person wrote it. Meesho buyers skim, so short paragraphs beat long ones.

What this does not do

Attributes. Fabric, occasion, colour, pattern, size chart - those fields drive Meesho's filters, and no prompt fills them for you. An incomplete attribute set removes you from filtered search results no matter how good the title is.

It also does not tell you whether the product makes money. Run it through the free Meesho profit calculator before you spend ten minutes on a listing for something that cannot survive its own return rate.

The full listing process, attributes included, is in how to sell on Meesho.

FAQ

Can I use AI to write my Meesho listing?

Yes. AI handles the images, title, description and keyword research well, and the five prompts above cover all of it. What it cannot do is fill your product attributes, and what it must not do is invent specifications you have not verified.

Meesho listing AI se kaise banaye?

Apne product ki photo Gemini ya ChatGPT par upload karo, phir yeh paanch prompt ek ke baad ek chalao - pehle image, phir title, phir keywords, phir description. Har output ko check karo: jo detail aapne nahi batayi, wo AI khud se bana sakta hai. Aisi koi bhi cheez listing se hata do.

Are AI-generated product images allowed on Meesho?

We have not found a clear neutral answer - photography studios say they breach authenticity rules, AI tool vendors say they pass compliance, and both are selling something. The standard worth holding yourself to is accuracy: an image that does not match the product causes returns regardless of policy.

Which prompt should I run first?

Images, then title, then keywords, then description. Writing the description last means you already know which keywords matter and can work them in naturally instead of retrofitting them.

How long should a Meesho description be?

The prompt targets around 1,300 characters, which is a sensible length - enough to answer the obvious questions without becoming a wall of text nobody reads.

Do these prompts work for Amazon and Flipkart?

The title, description and keyword prompts transfer well; just swap the platform name. Image requirements differ by platform, so check each one's specifications rather than assuming a single set of images passes everywhere.

Is ChatGPT or Gemini better for this?

Both handle these prompts. Gemini has been more convenient for the image prompts since you can upload a photo and generate in the same place. For the text prompts there is little to choose between them.
